Magical Companion: Ninetailed Kitsune, Kestral. Kestral is a white, ninetailed fox demon who is around the size of a collie (but can also shapeshift to make himself smaller if need be) and has been more like Rangiku's dog than anything else. She pampers the poor thing until his eyes bleed. However, he does seem to enjoy it... Except when she decides that ribbons should be included in the day's tail decorations.

Like most of the members of his species, Kestral is very, very sneaky. He tends to disappear randomly only to reappear when he is done causing whatever trouble he pleases (Often just as fast as when he took off, leaving Rangiku unaware of what he could be up to). One factor that contributes to his ability to get around so many things is his I.Q. Though unable to speak languages, Kestral is very capable of thinking for himself and expresses that to everyone in the best way he can (Most often by just defying the orders of anyone except Rangiku).

He also serves as Rangiku's magical conductor, meaning that he already has his ruling elements, fire and ice, established.

Magical Conductor

Basic- Since Kestral serves as her conductor, he remains in his regular form of a white ninetail.

Risen- Like an irritated dog, the fur on Kestral's back and tails stands up, sort of taking on the appearance of needles. Blue flames also appear at his feet and the tips of his tails. Kestral also has a complete personality change. Apart from his usual playful self, he gets visably angry and is almost constantly growling. All of his footprints also puff out clouds of ash. Rangiku is able to order Kestral to perform a variety of fire and ice-based attacks.

Divine- Not losing his original size, Kestral's ultimate form is the most interesting. He keeps the flames at his feet and tails, but the ash that would come from his steps expands and flutters around him, forming a sort-of barrier between him and an attacker. All of his attacks are the same, but the strength is increaed by a lot. Kestral's ultimate attack in his divine form (Also Rangiku's favorite) is an un-named attack that uses the ash that surrounds the fox's body. At Rangiku's command, the ash scatters and cuts anything that it touches. With the high accumulation, it is a deadly attack that has only been used a few times.

Fears: Being abandoned by friends.
Personality: Rangiku is a loyal, capable woman who watches out for those she cares about. She has a soft spot for animals. Around people, she is often quite bubbly and has become quite a social butterfly because of it, resulting in friends and allies. She likes to be the average girl, shopping and the like, but one thing she enjoys the most is her drinking. She may be underage, but she has 'ways', as she refers to them, of getting her hands on things.

Though she tries to be diligent when it comes to her studies, she tends to slack off at the worst possible times. These lazy streaks tend to consist of her falling asleep in her dorm without a book even cracked, running late for classes, falling asleep in her books during classes, and completely forgetting all sorts of materials needed for her classes. However, she is smart as a whip when the situation calls and is well-read in the subjects in which she enjoys.

Other traits of hers run along the lines of her impressions of the opposite sex. Rangiku, obviously, didn’t exactly get short-changed in the T&A department and she positively hates it when that is the first thing men mention about her. Conversely, she has the habit of flirting carelessly when she does find someone she doesn’t mind.
